Wedding Cellist
As a classically trained cellist, there’s nothing I love more than being able to bring my music out of the concert hall and into your venue. Music connects us viscerally in a way that words sometimes cannot reach, and hearing that song or piece that first brought you and your significant other together is a special kind of magic.
The cello is the most similar in range and timbre to the human voice, one of the reasons why the instrument first appealed to me as a child. It truly resonates with the soul and is a wonderful way to incorporate a song into an elegant ceremony.
Ceremony Package
This package includes a 30 minute prelude as guests enter, processional, recessional, and a 20 minute postlude as guests exit the venue. This package generally starts at $400.
Together, we’ll select the setlist for the prelude and postlude, as well as specific songs for the processional and recessional.
The cello is a wonderfully versatile instrument that can play almost any song. My core repertoire includes all the traditional pieces that you know and love, as well as newer favorites. If you'd like a song that’s not yet in my repertoire, feel free to reach out and I’m happy to see if I can make it work.

I perform acoustically and can generally be heard in gatherings of up to fifty guests, especially if they are quieter for a wedding ceremony. If you are interested in background music for an event, the cello is best suited to intimate gatherings of fewer than 25 guests.

The cello is known to be the most resonant and haunting of the string instruments because its range most closely mirrors the human voice. It is particularly suited to slow, romantic pieces, yet has the versatility for uplifting and joyful ones as well.
